A large majority of healthy product launches fail, either through the wrong customer insight, product design or marketing. Nutrition can play a key role but has to be balanced with taste, quality, safety and legislation. With a wealth of hands-on experience in fostering this fine balance, I have developed the nutrition and ingredient rule set for numerous retail health own brands and branded products, including: calorie controlled, holistic health, children’s, vegetarian and free from. Throughout my career I have been engaging with large teams of food developers, technologists and suppliers to develop and implement reformulation strategies to reduce salt, sugar, fat and calorie and increase 5 a day, omega 3 and fibre, across thousands of retail own brand and major branded products.
